History
KS Project Logistics originated from parent company KS Profile, founded in 1975 under the name Kontinex Staal. Kontinex Staal, which started out as a trading company in steel profiles, soon started its own production processes. Storage and distribution thereby formed an essential function.
Development of logistics division
Our own drivers and trucks delivered steel profiles and accessories right throughout Europe. The drivers got to know the customers well and would often know exactly how much stock each customer had in his warehouse. This mentality certainly also continued to be a characteristic of KS Project Logistics’ logistics employees.
Location at the Oostelijk Randweg, Moerdijk
The distribution function increased along with the parent company’s growth and development. A new distribution centre was opened opposite the head office and the production location at the Oostelijk Randweg in 2017. The distribution centre’s total surface area of 12,000 m2 allowed for customer orders to be stored and distributed in line with the building planning. This served to further increase the production and delivery’s flexibility.
Project Logistics became a BV
The parent company's turnover and customer composition had developed to such an extent by 2020 that the decision was reached to privatise the distribution centre’s activities. The distribution centre was renamed KS Project Logistics BV. This company name clearly reflected the company’s core activity and strength: looking after the entire logistical process around projects. KS Project Logistics’ extensive experience with building and construction projects has given the company a distinctive position in the market. KS Project Logistics now provides logistics services right around the world.
Part of KS Industries
KS Project Logistics forms part of KS Industries. We work closely together with KS Parts and Components, the KS Service Centre and KS Systems within this group of companies on a daily basis. These collaborations result in great impact and concrete added value for our customers.
New location at Graanweg, Moerdijk
KS Project Logistics is taking the next step with the brand new distribution centre in Moerdijk. We can provide our customers with an even better service with more space for storage and the execution of complex loads.
